DAY 1:WINDHOEK – SOSSUSVLEI – SWAKOPMUND

Your journey starts with a transfer from your accommodation establishment in Windhoek to the Eros airport. The flight, departing early from Windhoek, takes you over the spectacular Khomas Hochland, the Gamsberg table mountain, the Kuiseb Canyonon at the edge of the Namib Desert. We are landing at Sossusvlei Lodge after an one-hour journey. From the landingstrip, a 4x4 vehicle takes you to Sossusvlei, a clay pan surrounded by some of the highest sand dunes in the world.  Observe the fauna and flora that inhabits this region.  Time will be taken to explore the impressive sandstone conglomerate gorges of the Sesriem Canyon, formed by the Tsauchab River.  Then back to the airfield for a flight along the coast to Swakopmund with breathtaking views of sand meeting sea and cormorants making their homes on shipwrecks. Cape fur seals and graceful flamingos abound along the bird sanctuary at Sandwich Bay. (Note: Not to disturb the environment, we strictly keep our flight level at a 1 000 feet over the Wildlife and Bird Sanctuary.) The afternoon is spent in Swakopmund.

DAY 2: SWAKOPMUND - WINDHOEK

 A short transfer takes you to Walvis Bay where you embark on a Catamaran.  This provides you with a glimpse of Namibia’s only deep-sea harbour, encounters with aquatic birds and Cape fur seals, and the opportunity of sighting bottlenose and heavy-side dolphins, the latter a species endemic to the coast of south-western Africa.  Namibian oysters, counted amongst the best in the world, canapés and chilled sparkling wine from South Africa as well as soft drinks are served on board during this leisurely cruise. We return to Windhoek in the late morning hours. Your journey ends with a transfer from Eros Airport to your accommodation establishment in Windhoek.
